Data Engineer
Our client Data and Services team is building and hosting a bigdata platform. They aim to migrate this on-prem platform to Amazon Web Services.
- You capture the business requirements and translate them in a coherent design. From functional requirements, doing a technical design and implementation.
- The data engineering team develops frameworks and services that can be used by the data engineering community and data scientists. We help in designing a big data cloud platform and assist in making policies, standards and best practices and meanwhile guarantee the platform matures in useability, security, stability and manageability.
- You will closely work together with the stakeholders to capture their functional requirements and describe the right objectives.
- Besides a functional design you will be involved in the discussions on the technical design and implementation.
- You will develop prototypes and proof of concepts for the selected solutions, and implement complex big data projects.
- You will assist other data engineers and data scientists and coach them with the complex data pipelines and get them up-to-speed on AWS.

- 5+ years relevant experience
- A strong background on cloud computing in general and AWS specifically
- Strong will to learn new technologies, services and concepts
