Our client is a dynamically growing company recognized in the field of international passenger transport. With its daily services primarily operating on Western European routes, it has already served more than 60,000 travellers and is a stable, key player in its sector. The company is currently in an intensive growth phase: as part of this, the development of a holding structure is underway, and the implementation of international expansion and acquisition plans has also begun. To support further growth, they are looking for a professional who can oversee the entire financial operation while acting as a strategic partner to management and actively participating in shaping the organization’s next stages of development, in the following position:
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Full management and professional supervision of the company’s financial, accounting, and controlling operations
- Development and implementation of financial and accounting policies, as well as internal regulations
- Preparation, monitoring, and analysis of business and financial plans and budgets
- Preparation of management reports, cash flow plans, and financial analyses for senior leadership
- Oversight of outsourced accounting activities, supervision and approval of monthly and annual closings
- Control of taxation processes, supervision of statutory reporting and official data submissions
- Liquidity planning and optimization
- Preparation of investment and financing plans, maintaining banking relationships, handling financing structures
- Establishment and operation of procurement and asset management principles
- Development of financial authorization and control systems
- Supporting the financial aspects of grant opportunities, and managing and accounting for project finances
- Development of the organization’s financial management system and strengthening a controlling mindset
(In the longer term, the role may also include professional supervision of the facility management area.)
Requirements:
- Relevant higher education degree (economics/finance)
- At least 3–5 years of relevant leadership experience in finance or controlling
- Strong financial and accounting knowledge, familiarity with the regulatory environment
- Certified accountant qualification is an advantage but not required – candidates with a controlling-focused background are also welcome
