Our client is a state-funded, independent research and innovation organisation that supports and coordinates the national scientific community, while also promoting the social and economic utilisation of research results. Its mission is to strengthen cooperation between research institutions, institutes and technology transfer organisations, thereby supporting the market and industrial application of innovations originating from Hungarian research. To further develop its innovation activities, the organisation is seeking a new colleague for the following position:

Head of Innovation Manager Network Program

Purpose of the Position

The role of the Head is to coordinate the network of innovation managers working at research institutions, to establish unified operational frameworks, and to support the organization’s research, development, and utilization programs. The position plays a key role in aligning innovation processes, technology transfer activities, and the economic and social utilization of research results, in close cooperation with the technology transfer company and the intellectual property management division.

Main responsibilities:

  • Professional coordination of the network of innovation managers at research institutions; development of unified operational frameworks and communication channels
  • Alignment of research and utilization activities with central strategic goals
  • Support of development and collaboration projects; organization of matchmaking events between researchers and industrial partners
  • Professional support and monitoring of the implementation of the Network Innovation Program
  • Close cooperation with the technology transfer company to promote the market utilization of research results
  • Coordination, support, and performance monitoring of institutional innovation managers
  • Collection, evaluation, and portfolio management of innovation and utilization projects
  • Support for the protection and exploitation of intellectual property
  • Coordination of trainings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events
  • Participation in the development of an incentive system for the utilization of research results

Requirements:

  • University degree in innovation management or a related field; a degree in economics is an advantage
  • At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in technology transfer, research utilization, or R&D project management — experience in a research institute or university innovation environment is an advantage
  • Proficient command of English (both spoken and written)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of intellectual property protection and utilization processes
  • Familiarity with the evaluation of R&D projects and the assessment of their innovation potential
  • Excellent organizational, networking, and strategic thinking skills
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with researchers, institutions, and industrial partners
  • Systematic thinking, flexibility, and reliability
