Their local team delivers innovative, tailor-made energy solutions to large industrial consumers and renewable energy producers, supporting customers across the entire electricity value chain. For their Budapest office, they are looking for a new team member to join their close-knit professional team in the company’s Portfolio Management department as a:
Junior Balance Group Manager
You could be a great fit if you:
- have some experience in data collection, data analysis, and enjoy working with numbers
- are interested in the electricity market and would like to contribute to energy trading operations
- hold a university degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or are currently completing your studies
- have advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Access is an advantage
- are confident using English in your daily work, especially in written communication,
- are analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player
- are motivated, proactive, flexible, and eager to learn
- are willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including one weekend and one week of evening on-call duty from home per month (with additional compensation)
Nice to have:
- previous experience in the energy sector, or in a similar analytical or operational role
As a Junior Balance Group Manager, you will:
- forecast electricity consumption and renewable energy generation
- prepare day-ahead and intraday electricity schedules for customer and generation portfolios
- manage and optimize short- and long-term portfolio positions
- collaborate with business partners and key industry stakeholders
- work closely with the relevant teams of the international parent company
- monitor regulatory developments affecting the electricity market
- prepare reports, analyses, and operational insights to support decision-making
