Our client is a boutique financial advisory firm that has been supporting domestic and international corporate clients for many years. Its services cover multiple areas of corporate finance and transaction advisory, including strategic and business analyses, valuation and due diligence projects, as well as supporting various growth and transaction initiatives. To strengthen the company’s professional, scalable and efficient operations, they are seeking a proactive, business-minded leader for the following position:

Operations Manager

Purpose of the role

To ensure the company’s day-to-day operations run in a stable, transparent and cost-efficient manner, to oversee back-office processes, coordinate support functions, and relieve the owner of operational workload.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing daily operations and overseeing processes
  • Close cooperation with business line leaders; participation in management meetings
  • Monitoring operational matters and proactively intervening when necessary
  • Continuous monitoring of receivables, deadlines and project statuses
  • Regular reporting to the owner (operations, finances, statuses)
  • Supervising financial administration and accounting; tracking cash flow and expenses
  • Coordinating HR administration (onboarding/offboarding, contracts, payroll-related data)
  • Leading the back-office team; coordinating office operations and external service providers
  • Improving internal administrative and operational processes; establishing standards
  • Providing recommendations for efficiency improvements and operational development; leading smaller projects
  • Supporting project administration and identifying opportunities for automation

The scope of the role may expand over time with additional operational responsibilities to further relieve the owner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–8 years of operational management experience
  • Strong financial affinity and basic accounting knowledge
  • Practical experience in contract management
  • Experience in operational development, process optimisation or process redesign
  • Assertive, proactive and business-minded approach
  • Excellent organisational skills and a systems-thinking mindset
  • Reliability, precision and consistency
  • Strong task-prioritisation skills and ability to hold others accountable
