Our client is a Swiss-owned, internationally recognised energy company providing integrated solutions in energy generation, trading and infrastructure. One of its branches, located in the heart of Budapest, focuses on serving large industrial consumers and on the real-time control of interconnected power plants and assets. They are looking for a new colleague to join their small, supportive team in the following position:
Power Plant Portfolio Coordinator (Virtual Power Plants)
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering (electrical, energy or IT engineering; graduates welcome)
- Interest in power plant operation, electricity generation and energy markets
- Confident Excel skills; Power BI / Python / VBA knowledge is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, precision and a responsible attitude
- Openness to new technologies and market solutions
- At least basic English skills
- Willingness to work a 12-hour shift schedule
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the real-time operation of the Hungarian production and consumption portfolio
- Coordinating and monitoring power plants, energy storage systems and other assets
- Cooperating closely with operations, maintenance and trading teams
- Responding to operational incidents and deviations
- Supporting intraday trading and operational decisions
- Managing operational data and preparing daily reports
- Liaising with partners (power plants, TSO, DSO, traders)
