Our client is a state-owned enterprise and a key player in the viticulture and wine industry. The organisation’s mission is to deliver domestic and international marketing and communications activities aimed at promoting the sector. On their behalf, we are seeking a reliable and proactive senior professional for the following role:

PR and Communications Manager

Purpose of the role:
To implement the company’s national and international PR and communications strategy, while providing professional leadership to a four-person communications team. The role involves close collaboration with external partners, members of the press, international organisations, and government bodies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the company’s comprehensive PR and communications strategy
  • Building and maintaining relationships with domestic and international media contacts
  • Drafting and reviewing press releases, statements, and communications materials
  • Coordinating the company’s media presence both nationally and internationally (events, interviews, PR articles)
  • Leading and mentoring a four-person communications team
  • Maintaining active relationships with foreign partners and institutions
  • Supporting the communications aspects of diplomatic events and networking opportunities
  • Managing collaborations with external agencies and media partners
  • Representing the company at PR events in Hungary and abroad (some travel required)

We’d like to hear from you if you:

  • Possess a minimum of five years’ experience in PR and communications, either in-house or within an agency setting
  • Are fluent in English and have a track record of working with international partners
  • Have previous experience managing a small team
  • Demonstrate confidence, strategic thinking, and the ability to work independently
  • Have an interest in the world of wine – previous experience in the sector would be a distinct advantage
  • Combine a solution-focused mindset with strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills
