Our client is a stable, Hungarian-owned manufacturing company with more than 20 years of experience. The company specializes in the production of industrial cutting tools, tooling and custom-made machine components, as well as related technical and metalworking services. It provides tailor-made technical solutions to various industries, including the metal, rubber, paper and food industries, as well as waste processing. The company’s operations are characterized by a high level of technical expertise, solutions tailored to individual customer requirements, and a flexible, customer-focused approach. As part of the team’s expansion, they are looking for a professional who will support the sales and manufacturing processes from the technical processing of customer requirements through cost calculation to the preparation of quotations, in the following position:
Quotation Engineer
Your responsibilities:
- Preparing technical quotations for customers, including cost analysis and taking technical specifications into consideration
- Providing professional support to purchasers in selecting material suppliers and subcontractors
- Managing the company’s ERP system
- Maintaining contact with customers, suppliers and internal departments, including Engineering, Procurement and Production
- Conducting technical consultations to ensure manufacturability, optimize material selection and improve cost efficiency
- Preparing technical documentation, calculations and presentations
What they expect from you:
- BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical field
- 1–3 years of professional experience in quotation preparation or project coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing processes
- Good communication skills and business-level English proficiency
- Ability to work independently and proactively, while also being a strong team player
- Category B driving licence
An advantage would be:
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience gained in the machinery, metalworking, tool manufacturing or custom manufacturing industries
